Pocket Tutor requires a parent or legal guardian to create an account on behalf of their child. By creating an account and adding a child profile, the parent or guardian provides verifiable consent for the collection and use of their child's information as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Information Collected from Children

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the tutoring service:

• First name (for personalization within the App)
• Grade level (to provide age-appropriate content)
• Selected subjects (to customize the tutoring experience)
• Tutoring session content (questions asked, answers provided, uploaded homework images)
• Session performance data (mastery tracking, ratings)

3. Information We Do NOT Collect from Children

• Email addresses of children
• Phone numbers of children
• Physical addresses
• Social Security numbers
• Geolocation data
• Photos or videos of the child (only photos of homework/worksheets)

4. How Children's Information Is Used

Children's information is used solely to:

• Provide personalized, grade-appropriate tutoring
• Track learning progress and mastery
• Generate progress reports for the parent/guardian
• Improve the educational quality of the service

We do not use children's information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the educational service.

5. Third-Party Disclosure

Children's personal information is shared only with service providers essential to delivering the tutoring service (see our Privacy Policy for details). These providers are contractually bound to use the data only for providing their services and to maintain appropriate security measures.

We do not sell children's personal information. We do not enable children to make their information publicly available.

6. Parental Rights

Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

• Review their child's personal information by logging into their account or contacting us
• Request deletion of their child's personal information at any time
• Refuse further collection or use of their child's information (which may require closing the child's profile)
• Receive a copy of their child's information upon request

7. Data Security

We maintain reasonable security measures to protect children's information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. Only authorized personnel have access to children's data.

8. Data Retention

We retain children's information only for as long as necessary to provide the service. When a child's profile is deleted or the parent account is closed, we delete the child's personal information within 30 days.
